After we crossed the rise into Chesler Park, we could no longer see past the rock formations around us to see the horizon. As a result, we really couldn't tell where the storm was. We arrived at the campsite with a few sprinkles and immediately started to set up the tent. It wasn't until we'd put the stakes in that we happened to look up and see this amazing site!
The rainbow was actually a full rainbow, but I didn't have enough wide-angle capability with the camera to capture the entire scene. I was also fighting with a borrowed tripod that I hadn't yet used. Yikes! (Note to self: always work with new equipment before it's needed!) I did my best to take a few pictures and then just stepped back to immerse myself in the experience! WOW!
