This talk looks at three species of uniquely North American mammals that survived the last ice age. Using specially created life-like renderings of extinct animals and drawing from his own extensive collection of images the speaker presents the tales of species that against the odds not only survived the great die-off of Pleistocene megafauna 12,0000 but in the last half of the 20th Century have rebounded to pre-contact numbers. The speaker has thoroughly researched the topic and his passion for wildlife comes through in both the images and the story he tells.
