Indeed, things were changing! I started my series of films on the old Portuguese African Colonies by Cabo Verde! We had no financing at all from Portugal, but a lot of help from the local Governments.
At the time, TACV, the Cabo Verde Airlines where only flying domestic, and where leasing this DC-30 from Mozambique's LAM.
Since we had the support from the Airlines, I could film and land in the cockpit, started to get acquainted with most of the LAM Captains, and started to loose my tremendous fear of flying! I fact, I had no choice!
I flew this plane to Sal many times, and latter, even to Mozambique! But that is another story...
