Today was spent in Petersburg, Alaska. There were multiple hikes & walks offered, but Janet & I decided to have a restful day. The trip guides pointed out that the hardware store in town was worth looking at. As they put it, it basically had anything you could ask for. So, after taking a tram into town, we went into the hardware store. True to their word, it did have an awesome collection of most anything you could imagine. However, when we asked where their postcards were, we were told they did not carry postcards! Fortunately, the Rexall drugstore just down the street had plenty. Janet then wrote messages on them, and we mailed them while in town (they arrived at their destinations in just over two weeks). Then after some more walking around, we took a tram back to the ship.
