This the first real day of our trip. In the morning, some Dall Porpoises came up rapidly along the side of the ship, and then some proceeded to surf the bow wave at the front of the ship. After lunch we did our first Zodiac landing on the Northern Coast of Baranof Island. We had our choice if a Mild, Moderate, or an "Aerobic" hike. I chose the Moderate, while Janet went on the Moderate. Note that we rented tall rubber boots (a little below knee height), as when you go ashore via Zodiac, you step into the water at the front of the Zodiac, thus, the need for rubber boots!
