This memorial is still under construction, after almost 70 years. There is still a LONG way to go! It is much larger than the Mount Rushmore Memorial. It is a non-profit organization creating it, funded by admission prices and contributions. It was $28 for the carload to enter. It would have been another $5 each if we wanted to take their buss closer. You were not allowed to drive or even hike closer!
