These are some of my first images from a production Sony DSLR-A700 (a.k.a., Sony Alpha 700). These are all at very high ISO speeds and very slow shutter speeds. So, they should not be used as examples of the sharpness this camera is capable of delivering in better conditions.
The photos of the Boomerang Band at Mary's Seafood and Steak House in Savannah, GA were using the Minolta 28mm f/2 Autofocus Lens (wide angle shots) and Minolta 100mm f/2 Autofocus Lens at f/2.5 (band members). These photos were taken without a flash.
The images taken at the bowling alley (AMF Savannah Lanes on Tibet Avenue in Savannah, GA) were taken using a Tamron SP 35-105mm f/2.8 Autofocus Lens at ISO 2000, with the aperture wide open at f/2.8 (where a lens is going to be softest), without a flash.
Following are two images of my brother-in-law sitting at the breakfast room table while he stopped by for lunch. One with flash, one without flash, both at ISO 1600 using a Minolta 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 Autofocus Lens. The images of the tree were taken at ISO 800 using a Minolta 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 Autofocus Lens. The last two were taken using Version 2 firmware with a Konica Minolta 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 DT Autofocus Lens.
All images are straight from the camera JPEG Fine (not Extra Fine) with no modifications of any kind. EXIF with camera settings used in images. All images were taken using a hand held Sony DSLR-A700.
