Hi George....

I remember you...My Family arrived at Camp King during the year of 1968. I was only 11 years old at that time. One day you had me and some other of my friends throw away some trash for you that you had cleaned out of that Gym.....we threw it in the NCO club dumbster which was located next to the PX..anyway... After we threw it in there one of the German cooks told us that we were not allowed to put any trash in there...that it was only for the NCO Club...so we had to take it back out...we then brought it back to you and told you what happened you were pissed!! You then left the gym for a couple of minutes and went over there...and told that German lady off!!! Telling her that the Dumbster did not have anything written on it saying it was for the NCO club only for throwing trash in it....you all argued for about 15 minutes....and actually told her off.

I know this happened over 45 years ago...and I know you forgot...but when I saw your comment and your name pop up....I did remember you and remembered that one day..just like I can remember a couple of other things that had happened to me while living there.

Anyway...I hope all is well and happy to know that you are still alive...but sad to see that your one time beloved gym to you use to be in charge of...is all gone.

Do you remember me? My Father was in charge of the Rod & Gun Club at that time.

What the hell happened to my Gym???!!!!

I was in charge of this Camp King Gym from the years of 1966-1969.
43 years later it looks like a disgrace!! My name is George Clairdy my rank at that time was a Spec.6 I was assigned to this Gymnasium during my tour of duty back in the good ole days at Camp King....makes me sick to see it now. I cannot still cannot beleive what I'am witnessing!
