30 miles in 8 hours?

Yes, thats right. The ruggedness of this country can be brutal and unforegiving. in order to reach some of our "destinations", we have to drive over, around, and through some of the roughest trerrain I have ever seen. In this photo, in order to reach our destination we had to use a river bed. Nearly 15 miles of this took over an hour and a half. The beating the vehicles took had us doing maintenence for two days. As I stated before, there are VERY few paved roads here, and as an ETT you spend a major portion of your time MILES from any close support or help. In our area, it is so remote that our only means of communicating with anyone is via satellite.
