Distinguishable from her near-sister Vistafjord by the crown of suites above her bridge, Sagafjord was built for NAL in 1965. Trafalgar House, Cunard's parent, bought NAC in 1984 and both ships were transferred, retaining their names.
Sold in 1996, Sagafjord was chartered briefly by Transocean Tours as Gripsholm, before joining Saga Cruises as the Saga Rose. Vistafjord re-joined her sister in 2005 as the Saga Ruby.
