One of Prague's most popular attractions for tourists. However, a local informed me quite adamantly that natives don't all hold the castle in such high esteem. For centuries it's been the seat of one authoritarian, usually foreign, regime after another ruling over the Czech people. Not a great reminder to have hanging over your city. Maybe in the past 10 years those memories have faded somewhat.
