Spring!

North Providence, RI

I mark the beginning of spring the same way each year: the day the swans come back to Canada Pond and the male starts chasing the Canada geese.
That was today. Here are the last two years:

Absolutely love this - great capture of the swan grinding to a halt and the shadow of the goose. It still looks like winter to me though with all that ice. V

Amazing that the goose can fly upside-down and under the ice. :-)
