The leaves on some of the remaining trees (after the Great Construction Project of 2007-2008) turned in early July this year. My uneducated guess is that it's a result of stress from the construction project -- http://www.pbase.com/jason_daniel_anderson/struction -- they were chopped at kind of randomly and viciously.
