I needed a way to control my beer's fermentation temperatures. There are a variety of methods for accomplishing it, but I wanted to have mine inside so that ruled several of them out. The room I wanted to put it in has its door opening into a hall that makes it difficult/impossible to get furniture/appliances into, so that ruled out several other things. Patti lovingly offered to let me place it in the entry way of the house, so I set out to build something that looked nice, but was functional. At the time I'm writing this, I've just recently finished getting it built, painted, and moved inside. I still have a lot of work to do on the inside though. I'm planning on one chamber being for ice & ice water, and pumping that water up to any/all of the chambers, through a radiator in each, and blowing air across it until the temperature comes back to where it should be. It will be littered with temperature sensors that all come back to a computer for monitoring. Relays will activate the pumps/fans as needed, based on the temp readings and desired temp for each chamber. I've got all of the parts, just need to get it all together and wrap up the VB program to control it all. Beer, meet nerd.
