Searching For Light

These small flowers, about 1 1/2 inch tall, are growing in a pot. The dark background is due to hedge in shadow. The picture made a great 16x20 inch photo that I have in living room.

The red flower in the foreground is in the plane of sharp focus but, alas, the out of focus white flowers in the background compete strongly with it for the viewer's interest. I am chagrined by this competition.
