Pohutukawa / Metrosideros excelsa - New Zealand’s Christmas Tree
It is a coastal evergreen tree that thrives near the sea,
easily withstanding strong winds, salt spray and drought
From Nov to January it produces a brilliant display of red flowers made up of a mass of stamens.
