Red-billed gull
Larus Novaehollandiae
Maori Name: Tarapunga
These are small seagulls with grey back and white head and underparts.
They are about 40 cm long.
Beak and legs bright red in adults
The red-billed gull are true scavengers, eating a wide variety of foods.
