When was the last time you saw someone using a paper map?
Oh, that would have been Charlie and me.
We couldn't get our WiFi working in Europe.
Besides, I like the little maps the hotels give you.

Ha, I have to say, walking with a paper map unfolded might get you into some of the same trouble walking while looking at a phone would 8-)

in Vancouver, two of the three stores devoted to travel books and maps have gone out of business...new technologies certainly have had a big impact..
