I was out of action yesterday and Nurse Minty was helping take care of me.
Last November when all my kidney stone issues started they always do a cat scan to see where the stones are located.
At that time they found an incidental finding on me.
It seems my appendix was in a femoral hernia.
It is called a DeGarrengeots Hernia and needed to be repaired.
The plan was to remove the appendix when the hernia was repaired.
However because the kidney stone was blocking my ureter that emergency needed to be dealt with first.
I was lucky that by the time it was okay for another surgery the appendix had slipped out of hernia.
Apparently the appendix being stuck in the hernia can be an emergency too.
Yesterday they repaired the hernia but left the appendix in.
I was in the hospital at 7:30 AM and home by lunchtime.
No time for photos but I did have this little girl bring me a bunch of toys so I took a cell phone photo.
