Bob and I made a driving trip to Magee Marsh over Mothers Day, 2010. We met our friends Susan and Jack, from Michigan, there. We stayed in Oregon, Ohio, and ventured to Toledo for dinner each night. One evening we had dinner at Tony Pacos (featured on "MASH".) It's famous for hot dogs, dumplings, sauerkraut and fried pickles. We met Hart and Jewel Rufe on the boardwalk each one of the four days we were there. The birds were, again, spectacular. Up close and personal, and at eye level. We understand that there was even a greater number of birds a few days after we left, but we were very happy with what we saw. An early May trip to Magee Marsh is a wonderful way to experience the spring migration.
