I had a long infatuation with this plane (the A340-300), because it is the most graceful looking of planes. That infatuation ended when I actually flew on one and realised it wasn't anywhere near as nice to fly on as a B777. I wonder if the newer and bigger A340-500 are any better? Maybe just Singapore Airlines had their B777s better fitted out then their A340-400s? It probably did fly smother/quieter than a B777, but the lack of interior space and crappy fittings just ruined the experience for me.
