Hyakuen Shop

Motomachi Arcade, Kobe, Hyogo-ken, Japan

AKA "the 100 yen shop", I didn't get the chance to visit Japan for about 6 years, mostly due to lack of money at the time and also busy with studying for my MBA. So when I returned to Japan in 2005 these were a new thing for me and unlike the $2 shops in Australia they don't sell complete rubbish, actually you'd be surprise what you can get for 100 (actually Hyakugoken (105yen) as my nephew says because of %5 tax!), sometimes you can even get a nice plate or cup just because it's last seasons stock.
