I grew up playing golf at Shoops Park, which is adjacent to the magnificent lighthouse. My grandfather was the original architect of the public course as a make work project during the great depression. My brother, who is a talented amateur artist, painted the lighthouse for me. Great photos of a very memorable building. Thank you.

Built in 1880 within what is now the Village of Wind Point Wisconsin, just north of Racine,
the Light House stands 108 Feet in height and is still in use today. As it is situated on the banks of Lake Michigan the lake fog is quite common and at times quite chilling.
I was a Police Officer in the neighboring Township of Caledonia for a number of years, so this certainly brings back memories. Thank You for the trip back in time.
