My dearest companion - the Canon 1DmkII was today smashed by a stupid accident where the top slammed into a concrete floor

[Update: The camera was later doomed by the Canon repair center as "beyond repair" and went to scrap... My hat off for my insurance company - full coverage. Thanks...]
