Having a "previous life" with film, I personally think this crop is amazing and it really shows what the 5D can acomplish. Subjectively, I think a bit of edge softness can be tracked back to the more effective noise reduction and a bit of sharpening would probably do the trick.

The complex texture and color of the rusty tool has been rendered very well
