Thinking about today's focus on cost-cutting, this picturesque picture from the narrow-gauge (0.891m) short branch-line Sävsjöström-Lenhovda is somewhat mind-boggling. Usually, one or two standard gauge cars, loaded with wood products were put on converter trolleys and taken by a Z4p class shunter the few kilometres to Sävsjöström at the standard gauge network.

Shortly after the picture was taken, the line was closed and torn-up.
