The Malmbanan line was the first major line to be electrified in Sweden. It was a major undertaking back in 1913-1914, as no infrastructure existed and new power generation facility and transmission network had to be built. There were three transformer stations built on the Swedish side, all having an identical architecture. Here is the now obsolete Vassijaure transformer station from 1913.
