This one looks miserable indeed and is from what I've heard the result of just dragging down the cable. The standard operational practice back in the days when regular maintenance was performed was to lift it down.
Presumably, the pull was done in direction of how the pole fell and given that tension station #2 is just a few poles away in that direction, the guys pulling should have seen it coming. Normally, the wire shall slide over the top of each pylon, but in this case, it was probably stuck there.
Whatever happened, this gives a hint of the condition of the poles...
