On this particular floor, all interiors and loose matters have been removed as a part of a condo conversion project that never materialized. Some scattered pieces of plastic film that covered the windows now flap lifelessly in the wind.
Kind of interesting to reflect on the fact how well-built these scrapers from the 1920s are. Presumably, a state-of-the-art condo conversion of today would imply rising of 1/2" plasterboard walls supported by folded sheet beams, insulated with mineral fibre, held in place by plastic rivets. Plastic film insulation to the concrete and plasterboard/fibre ceilings, held in place by wires. Imagine that interior being left without heating and air conditioning for a while - not exactly persistent...
