There is something mystifying with abandoned castles, especially if it they're a bit remote like this one. Returning a storm stricken night with rain and thunderstorms would be a different story. The thoughts wander over to the mountains of Transylvania and Count Dracula's maison.

But here we're talking about a former Spanish haute couture and it would surely be interesting to learn more how and why this elegant castle perished together with an adjacent monastery....
