If I had a dime...

for every time I've told a child to
"Do not touch the FENCE" while on our way
to lunch." I could.. retire.. (or at least a
take a trip to Hawaii!)

One of our two color themes for today was 'black'
So I was modeling taking pictures of black fence..
etc for the students.. and had this one fellow who
kept trailing his hands through.. (as usual)

Untouched and Uncropped today.

And here's the student photograph of the day.
Shadows are black..

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel

This is excellent, what a great perspective and wonderful DOF, enjoying your kids shots too, what lucky students.

Brings back childhood memories of the playground.

Yeah, you tell them ... and you tell them ... and it makes a great photo, instead. Now, they'll remember the photo instead of the admonitions. Very nicely done.

Beautiful bright warm spot on dark background. I suppose telling them not to touch the fence is just an irrestible invitation to do so. Grrr.

I have to tell my 6 and 8 year old sons not to touch things about 500 times a day. I wonder what it would be like to have 25 of 30 of them. No, too scary. You have my admiration and respect, Dawn. Thanks. And, also thanks for the great photo.

I can hear the poor kid now, … “HELP! Get me out of here! Ms. Handova is a MEAN TEACHER and is keeping us prisoner! Look at the scars on my knuckles from the rulers! HELP! POOOOLICE!” Poor poor kid, … my heart goers out to him. (Sigh)

Great shot, Dawn. It's an arresting image.

Interesting angle. There is something disturbing or unsettling about the image although from your story it is innocent. Good work Dawn. Cindy

nice picture. the narrow dof in the foreground really draws your attention to focus on the hand. a hand on the fence always gives an impression of feeling trapped, wanting out, or wanting to go over. :)
