Seagulls in the late afternoon

Brought a new toy today..
2x converter...
Not the nice Canon one.. the much less
expensive Quantray.. Figured it would
be good for outdoors.. Not really sure about
Grey wintery days.. slow to focus..

Was attempting to get the birds in flight..
Rather liked this one.. Soft light overlay
in PS to deepen the shadows & clouds a bit.

Nice Dawn! I need a 2x converter myself! So what’s the scoop on the Quantray? Are you pleased with it? How’s the price? Can you say, “Daddy is on a tight budget”? I prefer the colored image more, but only because it’s sharper.

Very well done.

Both shots are truly awesome. I like the one you displayed in bigger version just a tad better. I think its because of the silhouette. Thank you, for visiting my page and for the encouragement!

Excellent shot, Dawn. You should take a look at Pedro Liborio's - great minds, and all that!

love the silhouettes and the beautiful sky...just that little bit of blue looks great here too...

As Cindy said, it reminds the movie "The birds". Excellent shot!

Since you have a strong vote for the sihouette, I'll put in my vote for the fine color version. Nice job. -Muriah

Beautiful!

Reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds", LOL. Very well done.

I'll have to try that--that is nice. We have so many seagulls here now for the winter; however, I am afraid to look up for too long. They bombed me at the park yesterday.

Perfect treatment. Gives it a dream-like, maybe nightmareish, quality. I like it better than the full-color version.

At first I thought Tippi Hendren and "The Birds." I like the silhouette effect. Nicely done Dawn.
