Jack Earl McGinty was my granddad. Never met him because he died when my mother was a child.

My mother was born in Helena, GA in 1920. Her Grandmother was Mattie Booker Wright. The house was torn down and a bank was built on the property sometime after Alma Wright's death in 1993.

Anyone know what Jack McGinty's middle name was? I'm working on naming his next great grandchild.

Jack was my grandad. He was married to Jan and they had two daughters Mary and Mellissa.

Use to go there when I was a kid visiting my Grandad (Harris Bowen). As a matter of fact, he had an office/station across the street from McGinty's. It was a small kiosk, he was the one & only police officer at the time for Helena. He would take me there for a burger & shake. Will never forget the juke box they had there. Good food, good times...& good memories.

I had my first taste of blue cheese dressing at McGinty's. Have not had anything to rival it to this day. He always made his dressings fresh.

I am trying to find out more about Truman McGinty. Did he go by Jack? Does he have any living family?

We always stopped on our way to or from Jesup at McGinty's for a piece of Chocolate Pie. It has never been equaled! My Aunt, Jewell Clements Booker, lived in McRae, and I had lots of kinfolk in that area.

My brother still craves a barbecue sandwich with mayonnaise on it like Truman McGinty used to make!
