Studio Paper (Contains Artistic Nudity)

Many modern photographers seem to have forgotten the beauty, versatility and ease of rolled paper backgrounds. If you have a studio, (or are starting one,) it's time to reconsider this most versatile, inexpensive and beautiful background. It's not just used for high or low key photography anymore!

Each of these models were either clients or compensated models that graciously signed model's releases, and for that I am forever grateful.

Thanks for the tips. Your photos are very impressive. I like the cardboard blind idea, in fact I wanted to try with just simple shapes first. Again, excelent gallery.

Actually, all of these were taken in the early to mid 90's. Odd to look at these images now and realize that a model that was 18 then is now 30. Time flies when you're having fun I guess. ;-)

That's one of the joys of working with Paper backgrounds Butch, ... you roll out what you need, ... when it gets torn or dirty on the end that's on the ground you cut it off with a scissors and roll out more. When I first started photographing for the bucks, (mumbly mumble years ago), I couldn't afford expensive canvas and printed backgrounds, so I was forced to improvise with paper. I still use it today, ... not because I "have to" anymore but because I WANT to! Try it! You'll like it!
