Since today’s date is August 24, I’m obviously posting images on my PAD from my wife’s and my wonderful trip to Las Vegas in June. Looking at these images however, sure brings back some wonderful memories. Isn’t that in a way what photography really is … a way to look back at wonderful memories and people from our past? This stunning photograph was taken at the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino, where there’s a “battle” every evening in front of the hotel between a pirate ship and a vixen’s ship, complete with cannons, explosions and huge blasts of fire. This is the prow of the vixen ship after the show … a stunning nude carving of a woman. This image was shot with my hand-held camera at 800 ASA at 1/30 of a second and f3.5. I think I did a pretty good job with holding the camera steady considering how exhausted I was at the end of the day!
