This is Simone’ from my early years at the studio in Jacksonville. This negative was in the bottom of a box and was scratched and faded almost beyond repair. In fact, I thought it WAS scratched and faded beyond all repair. I recently purchased a negative scanner and have been busy scanning all the old film negatives into digital images when I came across this particular old nasty negative and thought to myself, “Why not? Let’s see what I can do with it.”

Much to my delight, with a little more than an hours work with Photoshop CS, I really can’t see where the scratches were anymore and have completely restored the new digital scanned image. I love the new scanner!
