Tallahassee / Quincy, Florida

Dad was a mover and groover in American Politics, a powerful man in his own way.
He wanted me to be the same, a white color wonder and a three-piece-suit powerhouse.
Mom wanted me to be a carpenter like her father, and an artist, a musician, a creator
of great beauty. I rejected both of their dreams for my life, but oddly enough achieved
them both as well, blending their dreams around my own, intertwined like the threads in
a tapestry. It took many years for me to understand that happiness and contentment were
not a destination for my life, but the journey of life itself. No “thing” and no “body”
can make me happy or unhappy, … and it’s the one thing I’ve tried to teach my children
for their own lives.
Life is good.
This is my PAD “obligatory self portrait in a mirror”. It may not be pretty,
… no black hat or sunglasses or fancy photo shop enhancements,
… but it’s me.
I think that’s all that really matters.

I think you’re a very handsome man! You don’t need the dark glasses and hat. Look into a man’s eyes to see his soul. You have deep eyes, and I think probably a deep heart! Well done!
