Light Table Result

Here’s the finished image. If your camera has automatic white balance controls that you can override, set it for incandescent lighting to give a cleaner white background. If it doesn’t, your image will have a warmer, (and to my eyes more pleasing), color tone. I added a low power fill light flash from the top in this example because the rock of the crystal was not translucent enough and appeared too dark. Using this simple light table can open a whole new world of beautiful photography for you. Don’t be afraid to practice with colored or even pattered sheets for even more artistic fun. Enjoy!
