The two stringed Dan Ngyuet from Vietnam is a mixture of a lute joining a guitar. It sometimes replaces the Dan Da lute in the "hat a dao" singing tradition and is a very important part of smaller ensembles, also knowing some solo literature today.

Die Langhalslaute "Dan Nguyet" ("Mondlaute") aus Vietnam ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Kammermusik und wird heute auch solo gespielt. Sie stellt eine interessante Verbindung aus Laute und Gitarre dar, und exisitiert auch in anderen Bauformen in ganz Südostasien.
