To Guy... Doh, of course it's retouched. In case you didn't notice, F/8, being there and knowing some composition techniques is pretty much your end of the deal. The rest is knowing how to PP a picture in PS or something similar, to make it truly great. It shows effort and passion. Just look at some of the guys shooting very expensive equipment here, on Pbase. Their photos are horrible. It's less in the camera and more in the eyes and the pp techniques.
You're invited to go out, shoot a thousand pictures and then PP them. It takes a long time to do so, especially if you want something worth getting praises. You can't just batch process a thousand of them with predefined actions and expect to really touch someone's hart. It takes commitment.
And gorgeous picture, btw... I bet the original looked like something a guy with a 100$ pocket camera could take if he was there, but the end result here is just great. I'm not downplaying the beauty of this shot, I'm just saying that pp makes it really gorgeous.
