Wonder Woman

PaD has made me notice things that I have never noticed before. The lady below has been standing
for a century in front of 10 Trinity Square, a building I often pass that is near the Tower of London.
The building is now the headquarters for an insurance brokerage, but it was originally built
early in the 20th century as the headquarters for the Port of London.

I had never noticed her before. Now that I have found her, I am trying to guess the best
word to describe her. The best I have come up with so far is "formidable"

other sizes: small medium original auto

I'm glad that she wasn't my mom, I don't want to get into a fight with her lol
Great capture

Beautiful shot, Jim! I know what you mean about noticing all kinds of new things since starting PAD. Lately I feel like I see life through the lens of my camera :)

Formidable, and a little bit cheeky :-) Very good shot.

She reminds me of someone I dated once, long ago. Never mind, that's a story for another time! Good shot, Jim!

Yes Pad has that effect. You learn to look closely, and take your time to find images. Good stuff, your past few shots have all been very nice

Um, she does seem to have a commanding presence. Notice esp her foot on the world....
The statue is interesting too, tho. Looks like Roman and Greek influence; notice the wind blowing her shawl (?) in keeping witht he nautical theme.
Very cool shot Jim. thanks for sharing!

I love statues. I really like the lighting in this. I think the lighting draws even more attention to her. Very intrigued? by this image.

Beautifully shot. On a good day I think London if full of beautiful things like this. On a bad day I only notice the poor bus service. Excellent Jim.

This is a beautiful shot. Lovely detail. The thumbnail doesn't do it justice.
Interesting clothing, I wonder why thy didn't just leave her bare on top? Is it armor?
