Olympus E-PL1

I certainly didn't need another camera, but when I saw some stunning color and clarity in images taken with this camera, I investigated further, since I didn't want to get started with a new camera form factor (micro 4/3). Decided to go for it plus the superb Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7 lens...and to limit myself to that lens*, since my other cameras covered all the range I needed to cover. My goal was to use the E-PL1 for non-flash, higher ISO, indoor low light work. The E-PL1 produces better, less noisy images at higher ISOs than digicams and comes in a nice, small, non-attention grabbing size. Changed my mind about the one lens decision after I saw some stunning video from the Panasonic 45-200 and added it today, 1/13/2011....yup...really fell for this camera, and added a "used" 14-42mm II bought from an E-PL2 purchaser who didn't want it. Nice lens!
