A late afternoon visit by some neighborhood deer

They came back!

I read that you can really mess up a deer digestion by putting out the wrong kind of food. A friend said apples wouldn't hurt (Thanks, Jim), so I threw 5 into the woods, hoping the crows wouldn't get them first. I didn't realize two deer were nearby and were scared off by the plopping apples.

At dinner time my DH passed the front door and said excitedly, "Deer out front!"

I could swear this one was communicating "Where's my apple", as he looked at me through the front door skylight. I had to convert to b/w because the color with the huge dynamic range was awful! Rest are in color.
