Conductor and Orchestra

Each instrument, when shaken, plays a certain note in the scale. The conductor points to a number relating to the instrument(s) with that note and the musician shakes the instrument with that number. It's very much like bell ringing.

Those musical instruments are called Angklung. They are traditional Javanese (Indonesian) musical instrument. I am very impressed that they have these onboard. This pictures reminds me of my high school year when they teach us how to play it. Of course we all failed miserably :)
