Featured speaker at this morning’s forum at the First Congregational United Church Of Christ was Al Yeck, Executive Director of the Veterans' Healing Farm, located on 11 plus acres in Mills River.North Carolina.

Yeck comes from a multi-generational military service family who couldn’t find a better way to spend his life than to serve veterans’ needs. During his talk I jotted down several of the services that the farm offers and there was much more I could include but I could enter the text quickly enough on my small phone screen.

Here are a few services I did manage to note:
Donated 75,000 pounds of produce to the community
Bees – honey production - gallons

Mesh Tech communication – teaches a method to be able to communicate with your phone when there
is no service where you are.

Hosted visitors from Ukraine to learn how to deal with their returning vets
