P8200027DxO Monarch Caterpillers and Frass

These monarch caterpillars seem to like to be together. One was too far away to be included in the image. There are a total of six on this swamp milkweed (asclepias incarnata)...and they produced a lot of frass (poop). It can be used in soil mixes. Very nutritious.

Wow!! What an amazing shot! They certainly love that milkweed and obviously have thrived on it. They all look close to the time for pupating. V
