DSC03373 What a thunder storm we had late yesterday afternoon

Not only did we lose internet (turned out it had zapped a modem) but it also affected our climate control equipment leaving an error message on the thermostat requiring a service call, but it also zapped a "Genie" for our DirecTV viewing. We are entirely too dependent on all these technological "toys"! Only good thing is the hail, which we quite frequently get wasn't too abundant this time...but actually there doesn't seem to be much of anything pretty left - holes all over the place from the last hailstorm! This was shot through a sliding door and the area with the clock is a reflection from the kitchen. (All the leggy zinnia plants have been cut back and gathered in a pitcher. Their remainders will branch out and hopefully their flowers might be a little sturdier and hopefully, lower!

Been rainning for a week here, was EXTREMELLY dry for several weeks before that, all the lawns were yellow, had to water 1000s of plants every night, but now there's too much water!

That looks very familiar, unfortunately. My young crape myrtle that had bloomed for the first time has almost collapsed from the weight of the recent downpours.
