Carole took the words right out of my mouth. This image looks like it was made by Margaret Bourke White for Life Magazine in 1936. The texture is marvelous, giving the image the quality of a stage set. You have made the most expressive picture of the ancient Pingyao wall I ever seen, Iris.
I love how you've given this a timeless quality in b/w and etching texture. This could be 1930's? another photo that asks questions - you have a lot of them.
