Carol is right -- you show less to say more, and without context, the design is at first just that -- a design. You add verbal context below the picture, and we see the interlocked hands, a primitive icon suggesting a man at peace.
This really is such an effective photograph, Iris. I just love how you zoned in on the folded fingers of the hands. As if praying. We really don't need to see much else in this to explain your concept. I just love this!
