This sculpture and the next three were created by XU Hongfei, one of the leading contemporary artists in China. His installation on Museum Island is entitled "Peace and Future" communicating the artist's message that vitality and happiness are only possible in a peaceful world. He demonstrates this through his amusing sculptures of plump Rubenesque women who are self-confident, humorous, happy, and fun.
